Who would have ever thought I would have found out I was going to be a mommy while dancing on tour? Wondering if you read that right, huh? You sure did. Hey xCelerators, My name is Sassy and I am taking on motherhood and still making my dream come true as a dancer. You may be wondering, how could she not have a clue she was pregnant. Well to be honest, I’ve always been a plus size girl and was finally working on losing weight. I got a personal trainer, started changing my eating habits, took dance classes, trained with xCel, and was dancing on tour. Nothing seemed to be working, so I decided to take a pregnancy test. It took two pregnancy tests, an immediate clinic visit, hearing the doctor confirm my pregnancy, and seeing my daughter’s face for the first time to believe that I was pregnant. Three months later, God blessed me with a beautiful and healthy baby girl. I was back to personal training and dance practice in no time. “Life doesn’t always go as planned, but even when there’s a detour, re-route, and get back on track”. I thought I had my life planned out, but God squeezed a little mini me in the mix. I am going to continue to chase my dreams, all while raising Serenity, aka “Legacy”.
