As a native Washingtonian, Champ found her passion for dance at a very tender age. She began dancing when she was six and hasn’t stopped since. Dancing with several professional companies around the DMV area, Champ has over 25 years of dance experience. In 2006 Champ took on her first role as a choreographer/director with her first dance company “Dance Explosion” partnering with DCPR. That partnership offered inner city youth an opportunity to explore their passion for dance at no cost. While being a director, Champ saw a need for mentorship which initiated her non-profit “Ladies Growing Together.”

Professionally since April 2016, Champ is now the founder/CEO of xCel HipHop Performance Company, LLC where she mentors and professionally train adults and young girls to express themselves through the art of dance and development.

Jetta was born and raised in Landover, MD, she has been in the dancing industry for more than 20 years. Dance has always been an outlet for her ever since she was a child. Jetta has been involved in cheering, ballet, and basketball, however dance has always been her number 1 passion. In 2012, Jetta elected to take her love for dance to a higher level and joined a local dance company in the metropolitan area at the age of 18. While in that company, Jetta gained more experience in the HipHop genre and has performed in many shows. Currently, Jetta is the Co-founder & COO of xCel HipHop Performance Company, LLC under the direction of Champ. Jetta continues to dance with xCel while also overseeing the companies day to day operations.

Jetta is excited to grow in her roll as the COO of xCel as the company continues to flourish.
