As a native Washingtonian, Champ found her passion for dance at a very tender age. She began dancing when she was six and hasn’t stopped since. Dancing with several professional companies around the DMV area, Champ has over 25 years of dance experience. In 2006 Champ took on her first role as a choreographer/director with her first dance company “Dance Explosion” partnering with DCPR. That partnership offered inner city youth an opportunity to explore their passion for dance at no cost. While being a director, Champ saw a need for mentorship which initiated her non-profit “Ladies Growing Together.”
Professionally since April 2016, Champ is now the founder/CEO of xCel HipHop Performance Company, LLC where she mentors and professionally train adults and young girls to express themselves through the art of dance and development.
