Hey xCelerators,
My name is Ashley and I have been dancing since I was 4 years old. I first started off in church and I really enjoyed it!! As I progressed over the years I became more passionate and decided this is really what I love and it’s something I would want to do for the rest of my life. I auditioned for xCel at the end of October this year (2018). Although I haven’t been apart of the company for long I've really learned A LOT. I would say I was more of a "soft" dancer, but with xCel’s training I’m learning to be more powerful with my movement . I also feel like this company is helping with my confidence and its teaching me to be more diverse. Before joining I honestly thought I sucked at freestyling. I never really allowed myself to just let go in fears of “not being good enough” but Champ our director always encourages us to push through no matter the setbacks, be persistent and consistent while also remembering to fun because that is the reason we all started dancing in the first place, right? I can really say xCel has helped me with my life in general. The continuous support I get from my dance sisters is nothing short of amazing and they’re truly helping me EVOLVE not only as a dancer but as a
